to Florida Shakuhachi Camp **NEW Chikuzen Studios Shirts!! - Click here** ![]() This year the Summer Florida Shakuhachi Camp will be held on November 5th - 7th, 2010. It will be held at the Secret River Lodge in beautiful Cross Creek in the heart of Florida. This camp will be conducted by Michael Chikuzen Gould from Chikuzen Studios. We will enjoy 3 great days of learning in a small group enviornment with one of the most prolific shakuhachi teachers ever. The Florida Shakuhachi Camp caters to all players from beginner to advanced. We cater to those students who feel lost when they take lessons. Do you have a Sensei who won't answer questions and tells you it will all come in time? You won't encounter that here. Chikuzen will ensure he does his best ot give the best headstart on tone and embouchure and refine your existing technique. If you are advanced Chikuzen will move your techniques and subtleties to the next level and help you along as you learn the more advanced pieces in the repertoire. Our goal is to take your playing to the next level so you leave the camp invigorated and hungry to play. The study format is as follows: Beginners & Intermediate / Advanced Exact songs we will be studying will be determined as the camp gets closer and we have a better idea of the composition of the class. We can cater to all levels and are very open to suggestions on the repertoire. Meals: We are located right by the Yearling restaurant which has a full bar and excellent food. You can purchase meals there or you can get food at other local establishments and also prepare food in your rooms. How Much: The registration fee is $400 and includes the lodging in one of the cabins at the Secret River Lodge and all scores and CDs. Camp booklet and CDs will be provided upon receipt of registration fee. Contact: To register or get further information, contact Brian Purdy.
